Meet Dr. Rano Burton
Dr. Rano Burton is an Orthodontist at Thornhill Family Orthodontics.
It is my goal to foster the doctor-patient relationship with each person who comes to Thornhill Family Orthodontics. I believe it is a privilege to be able to help patients to restore their smile to a proper, functional bite. I believe in creating a balance between the teeth and the face, all while helping to support a person’s unique smile. I strive to provide individualized care when I see every patient at every appointment.
I received my dental degree from the University of Liverpool in 1991 and my Master of Science and diploma in orthodontics from the University of Manitoba in 1997.
My team and I are committed to offering our patients orthodontic technologies and treatments. In addition to my private practice, I am also currently a professor at the University of Western Ontario, Department of Graduate Orthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry.
I am often asked to host students in my practice. I welcome students into my practice and hope they succeed in their goals.

Outside the Office
I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. Originating from the north, I enjoy many outdoor pursuits, such as skiing, snowshoeing, and skating. As a proud member of the GTA community, you can often find me walking the beautiful trails with my cockapoo, Stanley. Volunteer work is close to my heart.
